1. About these terms
This accounting service (“the service”) is provided by Private beta (no company yet) (“we”, “us”). These terms apply to everyone who creates an account, and to each business set up in the service. By creating an account you agree to them and to our Privacy Notice.
2. Your account and your businesses
- Give your real name and an email address you can receive mail at. Keep your password to yourself; you're responsible for what is done with your account.
- Whoever creates a business in the service is its first owner. Owners decide who else can use the business and with what role, and pay for its subscription.
- Only set up a business you are allowed to act for.
3. Free trial and subscriptions
- Each new business gets a free trial. After it, the business needs a subscription to keep making changes.
- Subscriptions are per business, charged monthly or yearly in advance in Malaysian ringgit by card through our payment provider (Stripe), and renew automatically until cancelled.
- Owners can cancel any time in Billing; the subscription then ends at the end of the period already paid. Payments already made aren't refunded, except where the law requires.
- We may change prices with at least 30 days' notice by email; a new price applies from the next renewal. Prices include any tax we must charge, as shown at checkout.
- If a trial ends or a subscription isn't paid, the business becomes read-only: you can still sign in, see and export everything, but not make changes, until it is paid for.
4. Your data
- The records you put in the service belong to your business. You give us permission to store and process them only to provide the service to you.
- You can export all of a business's data at any time, including while it is read-only (Settings → Export all data).
- We never sell your data. How we handle personal data is in the Privacy Notice.
5. Your responsibilities
- The service is a tool for keeping your books. It isn't accounting, tax or legal advice. You remain responsible for your records, tax returns, SST, e-invoices submitted to LHDN (MyInvois) with your credentials, and anything else you file or send. Check them, and ask a qualified professional when in doubt.
- Don't use the service for anything unlawful, to send unwanted messages, to break or overload it, to get into other businesses' data, or to copy the service itself.
- Keep the details you give us (business details, billing email) up to date.
6. Availability, backups and changes
We work to keep the service available and back up its data every day, but we can't promise it will never be interrupted (for example during maintenance or problems with our providers). We may improve or change features; we'll tell you in advance about changes that take something important away.
7. Suspension and ending
- We may suspend a business (making it read-only) or an account if these terms are broken, if payment fails, or if the law requires. Where we can, we'll tell you first and why.
- You can stop using the service any time. Accounting records generally must be kept for 7 years, so to close a business or delete your account, contact us and we'll arrange it in line with the law and the Privacy Notice.
8. Liability
To the extent the law allows, the service is provided “as is”, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential loss (such as lost profits or penalties caused by records you entered), and our total liability for any claim is limited to what the business paid us in the 12 months before it. Nothing in these terms limits liability or rights that cannot be limited under Malaysian law.
9. Changes to these terms
If we change these terms, we'll show the new version and ask you to agree to it the next time you use the service. The version and date are at the top.
10. Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia, and the courts of Malaysia decide any dispute.
